Can I use my own custom domain?

Yes, on Team and higher plans. Point a CNAME record to Statux and we handle SSL automatically. Your status page will be available at status.yourcompany.com (or any subdomain you choose).

How is pricing different from per-subscriber platforms?

Most status page tools charge based on subscriber count, which means your bill grows as more customers subscribe to updates.
